It’s Showtime

IMG_6454_UPLOAD For all the hustle and bustle this holiday season brings each year, I can’t help but appreciate our girls at this age – particularly at their school Christmas show. I don’t know if we, as parents, are a bit biased, but each year, since they’ve been in preschool, the shows for which their teachers have created and prepared the kids have been spectacular. We anticipate, we smile, we nod in encouragement, we thunderously applaud our children’s efforts. It warms our hearts and our pride is obvious. I’m always impressed with how much the girls have learned – particularly the numerous and varied Christmas lyrics my own brain has long since forgotten.

This year was no different. Ms. Linda and Ms. Antonella did a fabulous job with all the kids. Each child had a line (“K” had two) to recite and they were great! Sure, stage fright struck a few students here and there but it didn’t diminish their efforts. “L” and “K” performed beautifully (proud parent, I know) as they recited their lines loudly and clearly (“L” was a reindeer and “K” was a snow princess). And of course, 23 children singing the most popular Christmas tunes at the top of their lungs was such a heartwarming sight to behold.
